Covid-19 Vaccine Update

We are excited to be able to share with you that the FDA Advisory Panel last week unanimously cleared the covid vaccine for use in infants and children (6 months to 5 years). This is very welcome news and today we received word that final acceptance by the CDC has happened. The vaccines by both Pfizer and Moderna will become available at smaller doses compared to adult doses, affording efficacy against serious illness, with good safety profiles. Unfortunately there have been over 400 deaths in this age group since the beginning of the pandemic, making covid worse than the flu. This is not a benign illness. As soon as we know where and how to access the vaccine when it does become available, we will let everyone know.
